James T. (Deucie) Bies, Jr. President | Founder
James T. (Deucie) Bies, Jr. is the Founder and President of Ivie Lane Properties, a real estate fund based in Orlando, FL with a focus on the acquisition and operation of mobile home parks. Prior to forming Ivie Lane, Mr. Bies was a real estate sales associate and brokered over $200 million of multifamily and manufactured housing assets. He also worked as an attorney with Greenberg Traurig, P.A. where he represented and advised clients in connection with the sale, acquisition, development and management of hotel properties, the sale and acquisition of retail properties and debt restructuring transactions.
Mr. Bies graduated cum laude from the Dedman School of Law and Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University with a JD/MBA and earned a MS in Accounting and BS in Business Administration and Economics from Trinity University.
Mr. Bies was previously a member of the State Bar of Florida, the State Bar of Texas and a Certified Public Accountant in Florida. Mr. Bies is married with two sons.
Candace Conroy Director of Operations
With over 13 years of leadership and industry experience, Candace Conroy is the Regional Manager of Ivie Lane and oversees the daily operations and managers at each of our properties. Her love and passion for property management and the real estate industry, has driven her to hold a versatile understanding of daily operational oversight, market trends/demands, and the importance of developing and collaborating with a strong team to support a thriving culture and ultimately maximize Ivie Lane's goals and mission. Candace has held many positions in the multi-family industry over her career, and prior to joining our team, she led and managed a multi-faceted portfolio including conventional, Tax Credit, and Section 8 properties. In her spare time, she loves spending quality time with her daughter, being in nature/outdoors, yoga, hiking, reading, learning, and continuously improving her personal development.
Judy Odom Executive Assistant to the President/Founder
Judy Odom is the Executive Assistant to the President/Founder at Ivie Lane. She has over 25 years of professional experience working within some of Central Florida's most successful non-profit and for-profit employers. Judy's extensive professional experience includes working with state officials, high-level executives, board members, and community members. She is recognized for her strong work ethic, effective communication at various levels, acting as a liaison between managers and employees and the ability to organize chaos. She has a track record of meeting targets and deadlines efficiently. Judy works hard to facilitate a positive work environment.
In her free time, Judy likes to spend time with her family. She enjoys antiquing, boating, and anything Christmas.
